Students looking for a job early

Present at the Cau Giay Ward Job Consulting and Transaction Festival recently, Dang Nguyen Thien Thien - a 3rd year student majoring in information technology, Hanoi College of Electronics - Refrigeration said that he attended the session because he wanted to find out whether his major had diverse jobs when working in real companies.

"I also attended an interview to see which job position I would be suitable for. During the interview, he prioritized finding businesses with positions suitable for his major, whether interning or working at a company in the near future. After listening to many consulting businesses, I have basically shaped the requirements from employers, better understanding what requirements I have to meet and the skills I need to further improve in the future, said Thien Thien.

According to Thien Thien, when he officially entered the labor market, he hoped to achieve a salary of 20 million VND/month. That is my expectation and also a milestone to motivate me to strive, Thien Thien said.

Nguyen Phuong Linh - a first-year student majoring in English language, University of Foreign Languages (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) shared that there are three goals when attending the job fair.

First, I want to know what skills candidates will need when participating in the labor market to suit the job I will take on; second, for English, which positions can I apply for; third, I want to come here to have the opportunity to meet and talk directly with employers to understand their psychology and grasp the recruitment rounds of businesses... - Phuong Linh shared.

According to Phuong Linh, because he is only a first-year student, he has not worked part-time, so he has not yet imagined the specific salary he wants. Most importantly, I want to experience more to accumulate experience before participating in the labor market.

Open door for young workers

In many recent job fairs, the Hanoi Employment Service Center recorded a steady increase in the demand for young workers. In particular, recruitment by age group also has many job opportunities for the 18-25 age group.
