Help 4,450 employees benefit
Mr. Ha Quoc Hung, Chairman of the Labor Federation of Luc Nam district (Bac Giang province) said that the district Labor Federation determined that taking care of the interests of union members and workers, especially signing and implementing cooperation agreements with enterprises to provide union members, workers and employees with quality services and goods with many incentives is an important task.
In 2023 and 2024, trade unions at all levels in the district helped 4,450 employees enjoy products and services from the agreements with savings of up to 475 million VND.
“In the coming time, the District Labor Federation will continue to implement the program “welfare for union members”, seek and sign new cooperation agreements with enterprises providing goods and services at preferential prices to serve the interests of cadres, union members, and employees. Along with that, coordinate with units that have signed cooperation agreements to establish discount sales points in industrial parks, clusters, and worker dormitories to practically serve the needs and care for the lives of union members and employees”, said Mr. Ha Quoc Hung.
17,000 discount vouchers for workers
At the provincial level, in 2024, the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor will organize 3 programs "Booths for workers" on the occasions of the Lunar New Year 2024 (January), Workers' Month 2024 (May) and the Peak Month of implementing the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" (October).
At these 3 programs, there were over 160 enterprises, cooperatives, business households, partners inside and outside the province participating in displaying 240 booths, selling and introducing quality goods, ensuring prestige, food safety and hygiene, with preferential prices of 20-60% discount along with many attractive promotional gifts for workers. These programs attracted over 60,000 union members and workers to participate in purchasing goods, with a total benefit value of over 3 billion VND.
The Provincial Federation of Labor has distributed 17,000 discount vouchers of 50,000 VND/voucher to disadvantaged workers to buy goods at the booths, with a total support budget of 850 million VND; organized a "Zero-VND booth" to provide free goods to 7,000 disadvantaged workers, with a total value of goods distributed of over 1,050 million VND; and given gifts to 780 disadvantaged workers, each worth 800,000 VND, with a total amount of 624 million VND.
Mr. Nguyen Van Canh, Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor, said that in the coming time, one of the key tasks that the Provincial Federation of Labor will carry out is to effectively implement the plan to take care of union members and workers during the Lunar New Year 2025; well organize the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang" associated with the program "Tet Union Market, Zero-dong Booth", organize contests to wrap Chung cake, display five-fruit trays, folk dance; sack dance, tug of war, the program "Sing for workers - Listen to workers sing".
