Accordingly, before the opening of the first Lao Cai Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, on December 17, the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation delegation held a press conference, offered flowers, and offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the People's Memorial Area in Yen Bai Ward, Lao Cai Province.
The delegation was led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, President of the Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) - along with officials in the Standing Committee, Standing Committee, Executive Committee and union leaders of communes and wards.
Speaking before the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh, the Provincial Federation of Labor said that the unit was established on July 1 on the basis of merging the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation and the Yen Bai Provincial Labor Federation. Currently, the Provincial Federation of Labor has 2 professional departments, 11 commune and ward unions, 513 grassroots unions with more than 41,000 union members.
In the 2023-2025 period, trade unions at all levels will focus on grassroots activities; focus on caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; promote patriotic emulation movements, contributing to the completion of the tasks of agencies, units and enterprises.
Many collectives and individuals have been commended at all levels, in which the Provincial Labor Federation was honored to receive the Excellent Emulation Flag from the Prime Minister and the Provincial People's Committee.
Entering the new term, Lao Cai provincial trade unions at all levels affirmed their determination to continue innovating the content and methods of operation; building a strong trade union organization; striving to successfully implement the Resolution of the first Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030.
At the end of the ceremony, the delegates observed a minute of silence to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh.
On the same afternoon, the holding session of the congress was held. This working session was conducted to best prepare for the official session taking place tomorrow, December 18.
