Thus, whether employees will receive bonuses for the April 30 - January 5 holiday in 2026 or not will depend on the employer based on the production and business results, the level of work completion of employees to pay employees and is regulated in the bonus regulations at the workplace.
Therefore, there is no regulation requiring employers to reward employees with money during this holiday.
On April 30 and May 1, 2026, workers nationwide will have full-time leave for 2 days, April 30, 2026 (Wednesday) and May 1, 2026 (Wednesday).
If employees have weekly holidays on Saturdays and Sundays, the holidays of April 30 and May 1, 2026 will have a total of 4 consecutive days from Thursday (April 30, 2026) to the end of Sunday (May 3, 2026).
In case employees only have weekly leave on Sundays, the holidays of April 30 and May 1, 2026 are only allowed to have 2 consecutive days of leave according to regulations, which are Thursday and Friday.
In this case, employees can choose to take annual leave on Saturday (May 2, 2026) or agree with the employer to swap Saturday's working day to another day to have 4 consecutive days off from April 30, 2026 (Thursday) to the end of May 3, 2026 (Sunday).
