Mr. Vu Van Nghiem started working in the Maritime industry in 2008 and is currently working at Vietnam Maritime Transport Joint Stock Company. After 7 years of working, with his own efforts and guidance from his colleagues, in 2015, Mr. Nghiem was honored to be admitted to the Party.

Talking to reporters, Mr. Vu Van Nghiem shared: Studying the great moral, ideological and stylistic example of President Ho Chi Minh, I always strive to practice a pure moral quality, exemplary in work and activities, speaking along with doing so that comrades in the Party Cell and the masses and colleagues can follow.

As an adult who has been guided and strictly trained by previous generations of officers and crew members, I myself always determine that I have the responsibility to train and guide the young crew members behind me, creating conditions for crew members to have the opportunity to study, improve professional knowledge and practical experience. This helps them become more and more solid in their professional skills, professional in their style, improve labor productivity and contribute more to the development of the company and the country.

Following the four virtues of Can, Kiem, Liem, Chinh of Uncle Nghiem, Mr. Nghiem himself not only sets an example but also regularly requires officers and crew members on the ship to work hard, actively preserve and maintain the ship's technical condition to maintain the best possible; save in the use of spare parts for materials, paint, oil, consider adjusting the ship's journey in each shipment to have the shortest shipping route, the most fuel-efficient.

Mr. Nghiem's ships on business trips have a very low rate of lost goods and fuel, thereby the collective of officers and crew members always receives the trust of the boat lessee and the company's management.

And as the captain assigned to manage and operate modern means of transport with large assets worth tens of millions of USD, he is always aware of his responsibility and has fulfilled well the duties and tasks assigned by the company.

In recent times, he has effectively managed, operated and exploited ships, ensuring absolute safety for crew members, equipment on ships, transported goods and environmental protection according to international conventions and regulations of port authorities where ships come to make goods around the world. The ship had no serious incidents during his operation.

It is known that in 2024, Mr. Nghiem and the team of officers and crew of the VOSCO SUNRISE ship have united, operated safely, increased the number of days of transportation, contributing to the overall achievement of the ship in implementing well the assigned plan targets. Specifically: Number of transportation trips: 12 trips; transportation output: 607,459 tons; revenue: 132.35 billion VND; profit: 15.257 billion VND...

Along with that, Mr. Nghiem and officers and crew members participated in 6 initiatives such as fixing the fire of the central air conditioner; determining the time of early spraying of the lifeboat pump; fixing the leakage of water to cover the cargo hold; designing the installation location for ballast water treatment equipment; replacing the steering wheel with silver; rotating the steering wheel to seal the ends of the steering pipes. With the above initiatives, the total value of benefits has been 2.78 billion VND.

Sharing about his thoughts and feelings, captain Vu Van Nghiem hopes to mobilize more crew members to actively study, improve their professional qualifications, cultivate moral qualities, and strive to be in the ranks of the Party.
