On the afternoon of November 18, at Tran Quoc Toan Industrial Park (My Ngai Ward, Dong Thap Province), the Trade Union of Nghi Phong Joint Venture Company Limited held the 4th Congress of Grassroots Trade Union Delegates for the 2025-2030 term.
Attending the Congress were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation; Mr. Tran Huu Kien - Deputy General Director of the company, and 120 official delegates attending the Congress.
Nghi Phong Joint Venture Company Limited is a company operating in the field of export shoe production, with a team of skilled workers. The company's Trade Union has 1,518 union members, accounting for 98.5% of workers, including 1,301 female workers.
The average income of workers has increased over the years. To date, the average is over 6 million VND/person/month. The grassroots trade union has closely coordinated with the corporate leadership to fully implement the regimes and policies according to regulations such as wages, social insurance, health insurance and welfare for employees.
With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the Congress set a goal of continuing to build a strong Trade Union organization, promoting the role of representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers and laborers. At the same time, the Congress emphasized the promotion of the emulation movement "Good workers - Creative workers", improving knowledge, skills and working attitude, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.
At the Congress, delegates listened to and discussed the summary report on Trade Union activities for the 2023-2028 term and the direction and tasks for the 2025-2030 term. The report highlights the remarkable results in: the lives, income and working conditions of workers have improved; emulation movements "Good workers, creative workers", "Green - Clean - Beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene" have been effectively maintained; The work of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members has been carefully carried out; social, charity, women's work and children's activities have received regular attention. The total cost of care and movement activities in 3 years is nearly 10 billion VND.
The Congress for the 2025-2030 term approved 15 targets and 4 tasks and solutions to be implemented with the consensus of 100% of delegates attending.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan - Vice President of Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation - suggested that in the coming term, the Executive Committee should continue to actively propagate labor laws and the Trade Union Law, inspect and supervise the implementation of regimes and policies related to workers; grasp the thoughts, aspirations and orientations for union members and workers; promote emulation movements "Good workers, creative workers"; continue to introduce the training and introduction of excellent union members to the Party for consideration of admission; focus on training a team of union officials with political will, moral qualities, professional qualifications, skills to meet the tasks in the new situation.
The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the 4th term, 2025 - 2030, consisting of 9 members and elected 2 delegates to attend the 1st Congress of the Trade Union of Dong Thap province for the 2025 - 2030 term. At the first Executive Committee meeting, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Han continued to be elected as Chairman of the Trade Union, Ms. Huynh Thi Hoang Ve was elected Vice Chairman and Chairwoman of the Inspection Committee.
