The VNUG Trade Union maintains a Fund to support cadres with serious illnesses and diseases. In particular, the VND 1,000 Fund for Female Cadres in Difficult Circum circumstances is a very unique initiative of the VNUG Trade Union. Established in March 2024 from the initiative of the Vietnam Banking Federation Trade Union, with only 1,000 VND contributed each month from each union member, the union has formed a dedicated fund to support women in special circumstances. To date, the Fund has collected 188,765,000 VND, and has supported 30 female cadres in especially difficult circumstances with a total budget of 30,000,000 VND.
Not only caring for union members and workers at the unit, the VNU-UghN Trade Union is also a pioneer in social activities, always a pioneer in the movement of charity and gratitude. From 2023-2025, the VNU-VGCL Trade Union has mobilized more than 5 billion VND to donate to the following programs: Support the COVID-19 Vaccine Fund; program "PC for children" in schools in the Central region and remote areas; build clean water projects in Lai Chau, public housing in Dak Lak...
In 2023 alone, due to the damage caused by Typhoon Yagi, the VNU-SHHN Trade Union raised 2.2 billion VND; in 2025, in Typhoon No. 10, it continued to raise more than 1.5 billion VND in just a few days of mobilization. In November 2025, the VNU-Grain Trade Union raised nearly 2 billion VND to support the people of the Central and Central Highlands regions. That number not only speaks to the ability to mobilize but also demonstrates the kindness, pioneering spirit and prestige of the Trade Union organization in the National Assembly.
