Many practical activities
Within the framework of the training conference on building grassroots cultural life, held in Da Nang on November 12 and 13, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor held a conference to review 2 years of implementing Decision No. 2214/QD-TTg dated December 28, 2021 of the Prime Minister approving the Program to implement the Movement "All people unite to build cultural life" for the period 2021-2026 (Decision No. 2214/QD-TTg).
According to the report of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, up to now, 100% of Trade Unions at all levels have documents implementing Decision No. 2214/QD-TTg. Trade Unions at the grassroots level have established a Steering Committee to implement the construction of agencies, units, and enterprises that meet cultural standards and assigned tasks to members of the Steering Committee to guide, monitor, and urge grassroots Trade Unions. Trade Unions at all levels nationwide have organized many cultural, artistic, physical education, and sports activities such as: "Weekend rendezvous program", "Weekend playground"; organized propaganda and dissemination of laws directly to workers in boarding houses on the occasion of Vietnam Law Day, Vietnam Trade Union Foundation Day July 28, Workers' Month, etc.
At the VGCL level, many major programs have been implemented in the past time, such as: Coordinating with the Vietnam Writers Association to organize a literary writing contest on the topic of workers and trade unions in 2021-2022; coordinating with the Vietnam Football Federation to organize the "National Men's Football Championship for Workers" or the entertainment program "9th Hour" in collaboration with Vietnam Television to produce and broadcast (2022-2024).
The annual registration of building culturally standard agencies, units and enterprises is always thoroughly understood and uniformly implemented by trade unions at all levels within the system.
Need more new playgrounds
During the 2 years of implementing Decision No. 2214/QD-TTg, many local unions, typically the Da Nang City Labor Federation, have also had many very practical activities. Notably, the coordination with Da Nang Radio and Television Station organized the TV game show "Tan ca vui-khoa" with 16 programs produced and broadcast in 2024.
In particular, the Da Nang Federation of Labor is a pioneer in solving one of the bottlenecks that many local unions are facing: not having the human resources to do the work of registering, checking, synthesizing, and submitting for recognition of the titles "Cultural Standard Agency", "Cultural Standard Unit", "Cultural Standard Enterprise".
According to Ms. Dinh Thi Thanh Ha - Vice President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, implementing the Digital Transformation Project, since 2023, the unit has proactively coordinated with VNPT Da Nang to survey, build and pilot cultural agency evaluation software with the feature of digitally transforming the entire cultural agency evaluation process; professional and effective management; the ability to integrate with digital signatures...
“Currently, the Da Nang City Labor Federation has integrated software on the city union website platform and developed a single sign-on system (SSO) to optimize login management,” Ms. Ha added.
Speaking at the preliminary conference, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu emphasized that the implementation of Decision No. 2214/QD-TTg at all levels of trade unions nationwide in the past time has achieved important results. Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu suggested that in the coming time, trade unions at all levels continue to thoroughly disseminate and propagate to cadres, union members, and employees about the importance of building and improving the cultural and spiritual life of workers, especially workers in industrial parks and industrial clusters. In particular, it is necessary to invest in building trade union institutions and creating new playgrounds to attract workers and employees to participate.
