Expecting support from trade union organizations
In the last days of the year, at Khai Quang Industrial Park, after each shift, the stories of many workers not only revolve around salaries and Tet bonuses but also mention many Tet care activities to be organized soon. Information about the "Trade Union Tet Market" and the "Workers' Day to Welcome Spring 2026" spread quickly, bringing excitement clearly on the faces of many workers.
For Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan - a worker at Jahwa Vina Co., Ltd., this is the time she and her colleagues look forward to every day. “Hearing the trade union announce that there is a Tet Market coming soon, buying essential goods at cheap prices, and having Tet gifts to support, everyone is excited,” Ms. Lan shared.
According to the plan of the Phu Tho Provincial Labor Federation, during the Lunar New Year and welcoming Spring 2026, trade unions at all levels will organize many practical care activities for union members and workers. The focus is the program "Tet Sum vay - Trade Union Tet Market" and "Workers' Day welcoming Spring 2026" taking place from January 23-25, 2026 in industrial parks - places where many workers are concentrated.
Expected activities include giving Tet gifts, supporting bus tickets for workers to return home for Tet; organizing discount booths, 0 VND booths with essential items to serve Tet activities.
Besides, there are cultural and artistic activities, folk games, creating a joyful and connected atmosphere, helping workers reduce homesickness when Tet comes.
For Mr. Tran Van Hung - a worker at Prime Group Joint Stock Company, this Tet, his family is forecast to still face many difficulties when their income is not really stable. "Just need a little more support to shop for Tet and buy bus tickets to go home, the workers will feel warm," Mr. Hung expressed.
Spiritual support for workers
According to the Phu Tho Provincial Labor Federation, in the context that many businesses are still facing difficulties, orders are decreasing, a part of workers have reduced working hours, and income is unstable, Tet care for workers continues to be identified as a key task.
From the general plan, the trade unions of industrial parks have proactively developed care plans suitable to actual conditions. Focusing on workers in difficult circumstances, workers who have had labor accidents, serious illnesses, job losses or deeply reduced income.
Not only stopping at concentrated activities, trade unions at all levels also organize direct visits to boarding houses and workers' housing areas; grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers to promptly support them. For workers who do not have the conditions to return to their hometowns, the trade union plans to organize Tet celebration activities on the spot, ensuring that no one is left behind.
Ms. Banh Hai Ninh - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Deputy Head of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of Phu Tho province said that the organization of Tet care activities for workers and laborers this year is required to be implemented in a practical and effective direction, avoiding formality.
The Trade Union determines that taking care of workers is not only about immediate gifts, but towards stability and sustainability. When workers are cared for and shared in a timely manner, they will feel secure in working and long-term attachment to businesses and the Trade Union organization," Ms. Ninh emphasized.
According to the Deputy Head of the Trade Union Committee of Phu Tho Industrial Parks, in the coming time, trade unions at all levels will continue to closely coordinate with businesses and local authorities, and at the same time mobilize socialized resources to expand the scope of care, especially for workers in industrial parks and workers in difficult circumstances.
Through the series of activities "Tet Sum vay - Trade Union Tet Market" and "Workers' Festival to Welcome Spring 2026", the Phu Tho Provincial Trade Union organization continues to affirm its role as a reliable support for workers, contributing to making workers feel secure in their work and welcoming a peaceful Tet.
