Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company, under the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV), has just started digging open-pit mines and opening sidewalks below -300 in Ha Lam ward, Quang Ninh province.
This is an important milestone, opening a new development stage for the Company in its journey to go deep into the ground, maintaining stable design capacity and creating a forehead knee production area for many years to come.
The Ha Lam coal mine exploitation project is approved since 2007, with a designed capacity of 2.4 million tons/year.
After more than many years of implementation, the project has reached the designed capacity and is currently in the stage of maintaining coal mining on the floors of -50 to -300m.
To ensure sustainable output, the company continues to expand exploitation to a deeper level of -300 to -570m, with a total excavation volume of more than 20,579 meters, including the Central underground mine system, Canh Nam underground mine and connecting mines at -500m.
The opening of the exploitation lane to a depth of - 300m is to maintain the designed capacity of 2.4 million tons/year, ensure jobs, income for workers and a sustainable development foundation for the company in the next phase.
Ha Lam Coal is a large-scale, modern underground coal production unit of TKV. In 2024, the company's raw coal output reached 2,358,386 tons, revenue was over VND3,000 billion and is expected to reach 2.4 million tons of raw coal in 2025.
The whole company currently has 3,450 employees, including over 1,500 miners. Average salary income reaches nearly 21 million VND/person/month.
