At the ceremony, representatives of the City Labor Federation's Trade Union Working Committee announced the decision to establish the trade union of Minh Dat Leather and Shoes Company Limited, admitting 27 employees of the company as members of the Vietnam Trade Union. At the same time, the Vinh Bao Commune Union was assigned to monitor and manage the Minh Dat Leather and Shoe Company Union.
The City Labor Federation also appointed the Company's Provisional Union Executive Committee consisting of 3 members; Mr. Nguyen Van Nhan to hold the position of Chairman of the Minh Dat Leather and Shoes Company Limited Union.
Speaking at the ceremony to receive the assignment, Mr. Nguyen Van Nhan - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union - said that immediately after the announcement ceremony of the establishment decision, the Executive Committee will meet to develop a work program and assign tasks to each member. From there, implement the content of building collective labor agreements, launching emulation in production labor and working with the company's leaders to effectively implement the regimes and policies for employees; instruct union members to pay union fees, propose company leaders to pay union funds according to regulations.
The establishment of the Minh Dat Leather and Shoes Company Limited's grassroots union contributes to increasing the number of grassroots unions managed by the Vinh Bao Commune Union to 61 units with 8,667 union members.
