On the morning of April 23, information from the Buon Ma Thuot City Labor Federation said that developing union members and establishing grassroots unions is an important task to gather a large number of workers and laborers into the union organization.
From there, the trade union organization will fulfill its role of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers, contributing to building an increasingly strong trade union organization.
Therefore, since the beginning of 2025, the Standing Committee and Executive Committee of the Buon Ma Thuot City Labor Federation have closely followed the theme of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor this year: "Focus on developing union members; participating in building a clean and strong Party".
Based on the targets assigned by the Dak Lak Provincial Federation of Labor, the Standing Committee of the Buon Ma Thuot City Federation of Labor conducted a survey and guided businesses on the process and procedures for admitting union members and establishing grassroots unions.
Along with that, propaganda activities, mobilization and persuasion of workers to raise awareness and voluntarily participate in trade union organizations were also promoted.
The Buon Ma Thuot City Labor Federation focuses resources, creating a breakthrough in developing union members and establishing grassroots unions, especially in non-state enterprises and in the informal labor sector.
As a result, in the first quarter of 2025, the City Labor Federation mobilized the establishment of 5 grassroots unions and admitted 393 new union members.
The total number of union members increased by 994, bringing the total number of grassroots unions in the city to 199 units, with 13,270 union members.
In order to continue to strive to complete the 2025 target, the Buon Ma Thuot City Labor Federation will promote propaganda and mobilization activities; regularly grasp information from the grassroots; proactively propose timely measures to remove difficulties and obstacles for units and enterprises.
This activity aims to help businesses better understand the role and position of trade unions in production and business activities.
From there, it will be a foundation for mobilizing the development of union members, establishing grassroots unions and grassroots unions, especially during the 2025 Workers' Month - the peak period for union member development.
