On May 22, at Vung Ro 2 tunnel, located in Dai Lanh commune (Van Ninh district, Khanh Hoa), Phu Khanh Railway Joint Stock Company held the inauguration ceremony and installed a signboard to celebrate the 13th Party Congress of Vietnam Railway Corporation with the project "Construction of solar power system to serve the lighting of Vung Ro 4, Vung Ro 3, Vung Ro 2, Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh railway line" in the Deo Ca area.
According to Mr. Pham Nguyen Chien - Director of Phu Khanh Railway Joint Stock Company, the North-South railway line has been in operation since 1936. The railway section through Deo Ca belonging to the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line through 6 railway tunnels is deteriorating, threatening the safety of train operations.
According to regulations, before and after the ship passes through the tunnel, tunnel watchmen must inspect the entire tunnel. With a density of nearly 20 trains per day under normal conditions and 30 trips during the holidays, the Tet inspection work is even more.
Therefore, the need for lighting in the tunnel to serve the tunnel inspection is necessary, while also creating conditions for construction and repair to ensure safety.
Implementing the policy of the Corporation's leaders, in order to ensure train safety, improve transportation capacity, and strengthen infrastructure quality control, Phu Khanh Railway Joint Stock Company organized the implementation of lighting projects for tunnels in this area.
The project "Construction of a solar power system for lighting in the tunnels of Vung Ro 4, Vung Ro 3, Vung Ro 2 - Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh railway line on Deo Ca in Hao Son - Dai Lanh area has a total investment of more than 1.1 billion VND.
After 1 month of implementation, with the cooperation of many individual collectives in the company, contributing to the work soon. Not only is it great for employees to work through tunnels and works, but also marked an important milestone when chosen as one of the sea -mounting projects to celebrate the Party Congress of Vietnam Railway Corporation, patriotic Emulation Congress of the 6th Corporation in 2025.
Mr. Mai Thanh Phuong - Chairman of Vietnam Railway Trade Union shared that, when I visited workers, I learned that there were 3 tunnels without electricity and they were eager to light up. The Union and the Corporation then determined to do it immediately. It is very difficult to bring electricity to bring electricity because the terrain of the tunnels is rugged, along the cliffs and the sea, but today the desire to light the tunnels has come true.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Railway Trade Union awarded nearly 145 million VND to support the Phu Khanh Railway Joint Stock Company Trade Union to deploy the construction of a solar power system for lighting in Vung Ro 2, Vung Ro 3, Vung Ro 4 tunnels, improving working conditions for workers.
Giving Workers' Month gifts to union members and workers working in the Deo Ca area and awarding certificates of merit to 2 groups and 5 individuals for their achievements in organizing the implementation of the project.
