On November 22, the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Federation of Labor welcomed a delegation from Solidar - Austria, led by Mr. Marcus Strohmeier, Executive Director of Solidar, Head of External Relations of the Austrian Trade Union Confederation (OGB).
During the working program, the two sides introduced the organization and activities of the two units. At the same time, they spent a lot of time discussing the movement of workers and civil servants, sharing good experiences in protecting the rights of union members and workers. In particular, they focused on discussing issues related to social security policies and ways to improve the working environment for union members. The exchanged opinions helped clarify the challenges and opportunities in union activities, and at the same time proposed highly applicable solutions.
The two sides expect this working session to make an important contribution to developing relations and cooperation in the workers' and laborers' movement, bringing practical benefits.
Mr. Le Minh Nhan - Chairman of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Federation of Labor emphasized that in the context of integration, expanding cooperation with international organizations plays an important role, contributing to enhancing the position of Vietnam's trade union organization in the international arena. The Provincial Federation of Labor hopes to continue promoting cooperation, creating a solid foundation for future cooperation programs, with the common goal of improving the lives and rights of workers, bringing sustainable development to the workers' and laborers' movement both domestically and internationally.
