On the morning of June 19, in Ninh Thuan, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor held a preliminary review of the emulation movement in the first 6 months of 2025, Emulation Cluster No. 7 (LDLDs of the South Central region) and Emulation Cluster No. 5 (LDs of the Midland and Mountainous Provinces of the Northeast Border).
In his opening speech, Mr. Tran Van Dong - Chairman of the Ninh Thuan Provincial Federation of Labor, Deputy Head of Emulation Cluster No. 7 emphasized that today's conference is not only an opportunity to summarize and evaluate the achieved results, but more importantly, an opportunity to discuss, share experiences and propose directions for developing emulation movements in the coming time to better suit reality.
Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor assessed that in the first 6 months of the year, the 2 emulation clusters have been implemented in accordance with the spirit of "running and lining up at the same time", completing the tasks of the Trade Union while completing the work of organizing the arrangement and merger...
Today's conference also raised important contents for the Labor Federations to discuss to deploy tasks in the new context, new tasks in the last months of the year. Especially in the context of the whole country organizing the arrangement and organization of two-level governments.
According to Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan, the new organizational structure is basically ready before July 1.
However, organizing a preliminary review of the emulation cluster is also an opportunity for the leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to listen and synthesize recommendations on major issues related to the activities of provincial and district-level labor federations in the process of arranging and organizing the model.
" any issues under the advisory boards will be transferred to the comrades for guidance. For major issues related to Party committees and sectors, we will arrange a schedule to work directly with those provinces" - Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan emphasized.
Currently, Emulation Cluster No. 5 has 6,293 affiliated grassroots unions with a total of 294,755 union members. Meanwhile, Emulation Cluster No. 7 has a total of 600,0005 employees with 528,370 union members; is active in 7,735 grassroots unions.
In recent times, emulation and reward work has always been of interest to the Labor Federations of the provinces in the two emulation clusters, implemented synchronously, effectively and in depth. Emulation movements... have many innovations in content, form and bring practical results.
In particular, many outstanding, practical and effective activities have been organized for union members and workers with programs such as: "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" program in 2025; "Union Tet Market" program through e-commerce trading floors; Housing support program "Union Shelter"; organizing a launching ceremony and implementing activities "Workers' Month" and " Month of action on occupational safety and hygiene" in 2025.
Both Emulation Clusters assessed that emulation movements are increasingly spreading, creating strong motivation among cadres, union members, and workers; the work of discovering, fostering, and replicating advanced models, good people's examples - good deeds is focused on.
The activities of clusters and competition blocks maintain a disciplined and increasingly substantial basis. The preliminary review and summary of emulation movements are carried out regularly and promptly to remove difficulties and obstacles; contributing to improving the quality of emulation movements in the Trade Union system.
The Emulation Clusters proposed that when the provinces complete the implementation of the organizational arrangement of the political system, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor should soon adjust the targets assigned to the provincial labor federations to carry out tasks in 2025.
In addition, promptly issue new Emulation and Reward Regulations to suit the system of Trade Union organizations after restructuring the apparatus according to the resolutions and conclusions of the Executive Committee, Politburo, Central Party Secretariat, etc.
