The Labor Federation of Hung Ha district (Thai Binh province) awarded funding to support the construction of Trade Union Shelters for three union members: Bui Thi Hoai (in Doan Hung commune), a teacher at Vu Thi Thuc Kindergarten; Nguyen Thi Vinh (in Phuc Khanh commune), a worker at Toan Thang Company Limited; and Bui Thi Thuy (in Doc Lap commune), a worker at Tien Phong Company Limited.
All three union members are in difficult circumstances, each union member received support of 50 million VND from the Provincial Trade Union Shelter Fund. In addition, leaders of the District Labor Federation, the District Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the District Red Cross Society, units, enterprises, and grassroots trade unions also presented gifts to encourage the union members' families.
Ms. Dang Thi Kim Cuc - Chairwoman of the Hung Ha District Labor Federation - said that over the years, the review of union members with difficult housing circumstances has always been of interest and focus to all levels of the Union. At the same time, the District Labor Federation regularly directs grassroots unions in the district to mobilize union members and workers to contribute to the Union Shelter Fund. Over the past 10 years, the entire Hung Ha district has had nearly 60 union members who have received funding to build houses from the Union Shelter Fund.
