Chairwoman of Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation Nguyen Thi Nhu Y, on behalf of union members, civil servants, and laborers, presented 5 billion VND to support people to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3.

Implementing the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province, with the spirit of mutual love, "love others as you love yourself", promoting the tradition of the Vietnamese working class to join hands to share and support the people of the Northern provinces affected by storm No. 3 (storm Yagi), on September 22, at Office B - Guest House of the General Confederation of Labor, Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Provincial Confederation of Labor Nguyen Thi Nhu Y, on behalf of union members, civil servants, and employees of the province, presented a symbolic plaque of 5 billion VND to support people to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3, phase 1, to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

As of September 20, union members, civil servants, and employees of Dong Nai province have donated more than VND28 billion to help people in the northern provinces overcome the consequences of storms and floods and sent donations to the Fatherland Front and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor as prescribed.

From now until October 30, all levels of the Trade Union in Dong Nai province will continue to mobilize donations and carry out the reception work, ensuring publicity and transparency.

Speaking when receiving support from union members and workers of Dong Nai province, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu praised and highly appreciated the trade unions at all levels, union members and workers of Dong Nai province for promptly and urgently implementing campaigns and carrying out practical activities towards union members, workers and people of the northern provinces and cities affected by storms and floods.

Union members and workers in Dong Nai province have donated at least one day's salary, including businesses that have donated billions of dong to the locality. The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has transferred 5 billion dong donated by the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to support union members, workers and people in the northern provinces and cities affected by storms and floods.

This is the sentiment of union members, workers and employees of Dong Nai province in particular and the southern provinces and cities in general towards union members, workers and employees, and people in the North who suffered damage due to storms and floods, demonstrating the fine tradition of solidarity, sharing, and "mutual love" of the Vietnamese working class.

This amount will contribute to encouraging union members and workers affected by storms and floods to soon stabilize their lives, continue to organize labor production to complete work tasks, and together with the whole country to complete common tasks in 2024.
