21 major problems of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation

On June 6, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry announced a list of major problems in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.

According to the Ministry of Science and Technology (MTS), the announcement of the List this time marks an important step in implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, opening up breakthrough opportunities for the strong development of the MTS industry.

The list includes 21 key problems, identified to improve national competitiveness, promote digital transformation, promote innovation and develop advanced technologies. The problems not only create opportunities for Vietnamese digital technology enterprises to approach, research, and solve practical problems, but also contribute to creating a solid foundation for the country's sustainable development in the context of international integration.

According to the approval decision, the major problems selected include many important areas such as: Artificial Intelligence (AI) application, Internet of Things (IoT), biotechnology and blockchain, ... In particular, this list includes problems on building a national bio- date platform integrated with AI; developing a digital platform and smart sensors for sustainable aquaculture; researching and producing advanced 5G equipment, 6G equipment that is being focused on;...

Many problems also focus on research, production and manufacturing of low-altitude satellites; developing Make in Viet Nam artificial intelligence models; building a semiconductor chip factory; building and deploying a Vietnamese supply chain service network; building an industrial exploitation, analysis and map making system to serve technology development and national innovation.

The Ministry of Science and Technology assigns the task to Vietnamese digital technology enterprises to proactively research, mobilize resources and participate in solving major recognized problems. Agencies and units under the Ministry will preside over the major problem, actively coordinate, support, and connect information for Vietnamese digital technology enterprises to participate effectively and practically.

With strong determination from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Vietnam is creating a creative environment, promoting domestic and foreign cooperation, contributing to affirming its position and enhancing the ability to apply science and technology in key areas of the country.
