
According to Viettel Telecom, the unit is committed to maintaining support channels to ensure customers are restored to contact in the most convenient way.
Viettel Telecom Corporation (Viettel Telecom) said that at exactly 0:00 on June 15, 2026, the system has locked one-way SIMs (customers cannot text and make outward calls) for all mobile subscribers who have not completed information verification as prescribed in Circular 08.
This is a mandatory measure according to the roadmap of state management agencies to clean up cyberspace, protect information security and property for telecommunications users.
For customers with one-way SIMs locked from June 15, Viettel Telecom has issued notes and instructions on the steps to unlock the service as follows:
1. Customers do not need to worry, Viettel's system will automatically reopen immediately after the customer completes information verification.
2. Two fastest ways to restore service: Do it at home by logging into My Viettel, Viettel Tammi and VNeID applications to automatically perform information verification steps; Do it at 50,000 information verification points arranged by Viettel nationwide: Customers bring a chip-sealed Citizen Identity Card directly to Viettel Stores, Viettel Stores or authorized points, sales points, chain stores of The Gioi Di Dong, Hoang Ha Mobile nearest to receive free support from staff.
3. Continuing to maintain maximum support resources, Viettel Telecom commits that transaction points nationwide and mobile support teams will still ensure 100% of personnel to support customers in the coming days.

In particular, the home-based hotline for elderly and disabled customers is still operating normally so that no one is interrupted in communication. Customers only need to call 18008098, press the 0 key and provide information to the switchboard operator, Viettel staff will come to the home to support customers in verifying.
Viettel Telecom also recommends that after 60 days from the time of being blocked in one direction, if customers have not yet verified, the subscriber will be temporarily suspended in both directions. After the next 5 days, the subscriber number will be recalled according to regulations.
