Partners from Vietnam accelerate AI development in Japan

A Vietnamese technology group has just received investment from 2 large units, aiming to accelerate the development of AI (artificial intelligence) in Japan.

According to the agreement on the morning of April 22, Sumitomo Group and SBI Holdings Group will invest 20% and 20% respectively in FPT Smart Cloud Japan Company, under FPT. This cooperation is closely linked to the ecosystem of the AI Factory, laying an important foundation in promoting the development and application of breakthrough AI solutions to all aspects of social life for organizations and businesses in Japan, realizing the goal of making Japan an AI country.

At the end of last year, Vietnam technology group announced the AI Factory development partner ecosystem, joining hands with partners NVIDIA, SCSK, Asus, HP, Vast Data and DDA Storage. Of which, the AI Factory factory has an investment price of more than 200 million USD.

The partner ecosystem focuses on the following main goals: Promoting the development and operation of AI factories in Vietnam and Japan, meeting all international standards, diversifying the portfolio of AI products and services, improving technological capacity for human resources, ensuring data safety and sovereignty.

Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT affirmed: Sharing a common vision of the potential of AI, we are cooperating closely with strategic partners to expand the application of AI technology on a global scale. At the same time, it contributes to realizing the goal of promoting innovation and improving competitiveness for all organizations, maintaining technological autonomy, contributing to making Japan an AI country.
