The information was given at a working session between Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Nguyen Van Khoi, leaders of the city's departments and branches and Viettel Enterprise Solutions Corporation (VTS), on digital transformation in the area, taking place on July 31.

Viettel proposed to build a digital government architecture framework in line with the smart urban model according to 8 pillars of the Ministry of Construction. Outstanding solutions mentioned include integrating shared databases, applying AI in operations, online public administration, managing security and order using AI cameras, smart transportation and ports, digital tourism, smart industrial parks, etc.
Along with that, the unit also recommended that the city assign urgent technological tasks to be implemented before December 31, 2025 and proposed to pilot the model in Ninh Kieu, Cai Rang and Phu Loi wards.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Nguyen Van Khoi acknowledged and said that the technology solutions proposed by Viettel are in line with the city's development orientation.
On that basis, the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City proposed that the unit continue to advise the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee on the contents that need to be prioritized for investment, especially in areas where technology infrastructure development is being oriented; soon sign strategic cooperation agreements between departments and branches with Viettel Group to effectively implement tasks.

At the same time, the Department of Science and Technology was assigned to coordinate with Viettel to review the decentralized contents, ensuring that the implementation process complies with legal regulations, aiming to build a modern digital government, effectively serving people and businesses.
