NDA Trace was introduced by the National Data Association at the workshop " traceability authentication - Sustainable development driver of Vietnam's digital economy" held on July 8 in Hanoi.
This is a comprehensive root traceability solution developed by Vietnamese people, integrated on national platforms, applying modern technology such as blockchain (NDA Chain) and decentralized identification (NDA DID).
Accordingly, each product is attached with a unique identification code, helping to transparently track the entire journey from production to consumers. All operations of entities in the supply chain are recorded and authenticated, cannot be forged, cannot be edited.
Businesses, through the NDA Trace Portal service portal, easily generate product identification information - called the NDA Trace UID code. NDA Trace UID is attached to the product packaging as a QR code or RFID chip, not only ensuring safety but also making it easy to authenticate the product through each step.
NDA Trace UID meets GS1 international standards and is compatible with the global authentication and traceability system EBSI TRACE4EU, comprehensively supporting businesses connecting cross-border supply chains: From import-export production to domestic distribution and consumption.
Subjects in the supply chain from factories, importing units, inspection units, and warehouses to stores and distribution channels - use NDATrace to scan UID codes on each product to sign the authentication of production, import, quality control, packaging, transportation, and sales activities. All of these authentication activities are fully recognized as digital certificates (VC) throughout the product life cycle.
Users can easily scan the UID code to trace the origin of each product in a transparent, safe and effective way. In addition to tracing information, consumers can also confirm their purchases, participate in membership point accumulation programs and customer care.
According to the plan, in the third quarter of 2025, the authorities will establish a project steering committee to deploy NDA Trace, standardize UID codes, deploy root authentication buttons...
In the fourth quarter of 2025, this comprehensive root tracing platform will be piloted in 3 localities/sector groups; completing mandatory legal procedures for identification.
In the first quarter of 2026, training and operation will be conducted nationwide; data recovery via blockchain and DID; inter-sectoral monitoring and national branding. From the second quarter of 2026, the platform will connect with international standardization, enhance the integration of artificial intelligence and smart contracts on the blockchain platform.
NDA Trace is expected to create a transparent, safe and sustainable market, best protecting the rights of consumers.
