Although Apple has announced a series of major updates at the WWDC 2025 event, iOS 26 has not yet fully revealed.
According to technology journalist Mark Gurman (Bloomberg), "The Disadvantaged Apple" still retains some important features that were not disclosed in the key note, and is expected to be released later this year in the next updates.
Live broadcast via AirPods
One of the most anticipated features is the ability to translate language directly through AirPods.
This feature allows users to chat with other speakers in real time, with translations streamed directly to the ear via AirPods headphones.
This is considered the next step for the Live Translation feature that is already available on Apple's " Measures, FaceTime and Phone" app.
If it is launched as expected, this feature will bring significant benefits to people who are regular travelers or living in a multilingual environment.
Although Apple has not officially announced it at WWDC 2025, Mr. Gurman affirmed that this feature is still in development and will likely be integrated into iOS 26 later this year.
Synchronize Wi-Fi Captive via iCloud
Another useful feature that is awaited is the ability to synchronize captive Wi-Fi login information between Apple devices. This is the type of network that often appears at airports, cafes or hotels, requiring users to authenticate through the website.
With the new improvement, once users have successfully logged in on a device, the login information will be synchronized via iCloud to other Apple devices, helping to save time and limit inconvenience.
Why haven't they been announced yet?
According to journalist Gurman, Apple is being more cautious after several missed launches in 2024. Instead of announcing early and then delaying, the company now chooses to only introduce features when they are almost ready to release.
This is the reason why the above features did not appear in the main speech at WWDC.
When can you use it?
If there are no major changes, these features will appear in the iOS 26.1 version expected in October or iOS 26.2 in December. They can be tested in advance in beta versions released in the fall.
Although not officially confirmed, AirPods users or regular users of public Wi-Fi should monitor iOS updates at the end of the year to avoid missing these utility features.
