On the morning of January 1 in Ho Chi Minh City, Intel Products Vietnam (IPV) and Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park (SHTP) jointly organized a strategic component supplier conference, an important event to strengthen cooperation and develop the semiconductor and high-tech supply chain in Vietnam.
The event was attended by Mr. Vo Van Hoan - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Ms. Susan Burns - Consulate General of the United States in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Nguyen Ky Phung - Head of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park Management Board (SHTP), and Dr. Naga Chandrasekaran - Executive Vice Chairman, Director of Technology and Operations, General Director of Intel Foundry.
The event also had the participation of a series of leading domestic and international semiconductor component suppliers, as well as many other manufacturers in the industry.
Sharing at the event, Dr. Naga Chandrasekaran said: We are delighted that the Intel factory in Vietnam will reach 4 billion products shipped this April, an important milestone affirming the key role of the Intel Assembly and Inspection factory in Vietnam in our global operations chain. We are committed to accompanying the development of the semiconductor supply chain ecosystem in Vietnam".
Since Intel Vietnam was established in 2006, it has invested in and built a local supply network and has now had 600 partners. Through this conference, we hope to create a foundation to continue opening up new opportunities for suppliers, supporting human resource development, promoting innovation, thereby developing the semiconductor ecosystem in Vietnam, Mr. Naga shared.

Mr. Nguyen Ky Phung, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park Management Board, emphasized that the event is a testament to Ho Chi Minh City's strategic vision, in promoting international cooperation, attracting investment in the high-tech sector, contributing to making Vietnam one of the world's leading high-tech product manufacturing and export centers.
With Intels presence and investment, we believe in the development potential of the semiconductor industry in Vietnam. The Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park Management Board will make every effort to create an attractive investment environment, providing maximum support for Intel in developing its supply chain, contributing to promoting the development of the semiconductor industry in Vietnam.
To further promote the development of the supply chain in Vietnam, we recommend that Intel Products Vietnam continue to build support programs, train high-quality human resources, successfully build a network connecting businesses in the supply chain, and strengthen cooperation with state management agencies to facilitate business operations, Mr. Phung shared.
