The event was organized by the CIO Community (IT director) of Vietnam on October 2 in Ho Chi Minh City. In the context of artificial intelligence (AI) shifting from long-term strategy to practical application, the role of CIO is no longer limited to system operation. They are expected to become the ones to create core values for businesses.
In response to that reality, CIO Summit 2025 has gathered more than 500 technology and business leaders, from executives, technology directors, to data experts, and strategists.
This year's event focused on discussing three main groups of issues: Reorganizing the role of technology leaders in the strategy board; Update on AI trends, data, cybersecurity and digital transformation; Connecting leaders who are directly implementing technology in practice.
Sharing at the event, Mr. Tran Nhat Minh, representative of the organizing committee, emphasized: 2025 is the pivotal moment when AI explodes, data becomes a strategic asset, cybersecurity becomes an issue of concern. Vietnam aims to become a regional innovation hub, requiring a generation of technology leaders to be of sufficient level not only to operate the system, but also to plan and lead strategies associated with business growth and national orientation.
CIO Summit 2025, created by the Vietnamese technology leadership community, is a place for technology leaders to update the latest trends, discuss and share practical issues as well as shape the information technology picture in 2026.
One of the highlights of this year's event is the exclusive report based on the opinions of more than 500 technology leaders nationwide. The report focuses on strategies in the coming period, challenges in deploying AI and data in operations, as well as orientations on the structure of technology systems to support business.
In addition, the 2025 CIO Awards will be a place to honor and connect outstanding technology leaders, those who turn technology into a strategic lever, elevate businesses, develop people and promote sustainable innovation.
