From July 16-18, the 8th International Conference and Exhibition on Control and Automation (VCCA - 2026) will take place at Quy Nhon University (Gia Lai).
The event gathers scientists, experts, businesses and managers at home and abroad to share research achievements, promote cooperation and technology transfer.
The event is themed "Smart Automation - Strategic Technology of the Digital Age", with main activities such as scientific conferences, business forums, Automation Technology Exhibition (AT Expo) and OCOP Product Fair.
The intrinsic intelligence of the Robot
VCCA - 2026 is expected to become a prestigious scientific forum in the field of control and automation in Vietnam and internationally. This is also an opportunity for domestic and foreign scientists to introduce research results, exchange academics and expand cooperation.
At the conference, 157/178 scientific reports passed the criticism and were selected to be presented at 22 professional sub-committees.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thai Quang Vinh - Head of the Program Committee of the Scientific Conference - said that this year, the conference focuses on many topical topics such as industrial robot control, mobile robots, in which self-driving vehicles have 4 in-depth sub-committees.
The conference also focused on biomedical electronics, automation in community health care and automation in agriculture.
The highlight of the plenary session is the topic "The Self-Intelligence of Robots", introducing the concept of intellectual behavior formed from the interaction between the body of the robot sensor, controller and environment.
The report also introduces a number of research topics on soft robots, including morphological design, solutions to ensure safety in measuring and controlling UAVs, robotic arms, and multi-mode sensor systems.
In addition, the plenary session also had topics on smart factories, smart cities and practical implementation experience.
Technology connection
According to the Organizing Committee, within the framework of the event, the business forum will have about 25-30 presentations by domestic and international experts.
The presentations focused on topics such as: Smart technology, innovation in the fields of the economy; Building an ecosystem to develop Robot & Drone Make in Vietnam; Renewable energy, human resource development and green transformation for the Central - Central Highlands region; Cooperation in research and application of science and technology to develop socio-economics in the region.
Through the presentations, many current issues such as digital transformation, green transformation, circular economy, smart automation (robots, AI, IoT, Big Data), participation in global supply chains and sustainable development will be analyzed and updated.
This is also an opportunity for management agencies, research institutions, training institutions and the domestic and international business community to connect and promote investment cooperation, technology transfer and commercialization of research results.
Dozens of technology exhibition booths
At the event, there will be about 50-70 booths introducing new products, modern technology solutions of businesses, research institutes and training institutions in the field of automation.
The organizers expect the exhibition to create a premise for many Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) on investment cooperation, research, production development, technology human resource training and export-import market expansion to be signed.
In addition, the Regional Product Fair (OCOP) and the AT Expo Automation Technology Exhibition will contribute to diversifying the activities of the event.
Dr. Duong Nguyen Binh - Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Automation Association, Head of the Organizing Committee of VCCA - 2026 - said that after the event, the Organizing Committee will continue to maintain a connection channel with the business community, organizations and domestic and international training institutions to realize cooperation goals with specific results.
