The CEO of OpenAI revealed a series of new business plans, from corporate services, robots to cloud computing, shaping the ambition of a global AI super platform.

In a long post on X on November 6 (local time), Sam altman, CEO of OpenAI confirmed that the company will end 2025 with an annual revenue of more than 20 billion USD (ARR).

He said OpenAI has committed to investing about $1.4 trillion over the next 8 years to expand its data center network to serve global AI computing needs.

Mr. altman emphasized that this is a necessary step in the context of a world hungry for AI computing capabilities and OpenAI is eager to provide AI cloud directly to businesses and users.

Mr. altman revealed that OpenAI currently has more than 1 million corporate customers and is developing a palms-sized consumer AI device, a product that is said to be taken care of by Jony Ive, a former Apple designer.

In addition, OpenAI is also testing new science and technology exploration, through the OpenAI for Science initiative.

In the future, the company could expand further by selling shares or borrowing capital to finance large-scale infrastructure projects.

Although it does not have its own data center network, the $1.4 trillion plan shows altman turning OpenAI into a global AI infrastructure machine, not only leading in software but also in computing power.
