This popular messaging app first appeared in 2009, even before the iPad - the device introduced by Apple in 2010.
With the spacious screen of the iPad, Meta has made good use of the display space to optimize the user experience. The application supports multi-purpose features such as Split View and Slide Over, allowing users to chat while surfing the web or opening other applications at the same time.
The WhatsApp on iPad is also compatible with the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil, making it easier to enter data. The application supports video and audio calls up to 32 people, and uses both front and rear cameras.
The chats are synchronized across multiple devices like other WhatsApp versions. Users can download it right on the App Store.
After Facebook, iPad users are still waiting for a separate Instagram app. For the past 15 years, they have been forced to use an enlarged version from the iPhone. However, recent reports show that Meta is developing an Instagram app dedicated to iPads.
