The town of Mansilla de la Sierra, located in the heart of La Rioja valley, 170 miles (273km) north of Madrid, has been submerged in water for most of its years.
The town's residents were evacuated in 1959, before it sank into the lake. A new town was built nearby.
By the end of this summer, the water level dropped low enough for explorers to eagerly walk around to explore and grasp what was left here.
The town of Mansilla de la Sierra was abandoned, becoming a "ghost town" nearly 60 years ago to serve the expansion of the reservoir.
Now, the "ghost town" reappears after a prolonged drought - considered the worst drought in decades here, according to Mail Online.
The old ruins are dilapidated houses, fossil trunks, and dilapidated bridges that create a breakwater in this magical landscape.
Some houses can still be identified along with windows, entrances are still standing firm with many architectural details that have not been erased.
