Thanh Hoa will prioritize the development of supporting industrial products, especially in industries such as refining, petrochemicals, mechanics, textiles, footwear, and agricultural and forestry processing. The province will also aim to export products and participate in the global production chain. The immediate goal is to meet domestic demand, especially serving key industries such as refining, petrochemicals, mechanics, textiles, food processing, footwear, and consumer goods manufacturing.
To achieve this goal, Thanh Hoa will build a multi-layered production network, with the participation of enterprises that meet international standards in management and product quality. By 2030, the province will strongly develop industries such as refining, petrochemicals, mechanical engineering, metallurgy, energy, processing and consumer goods manufacturing for export. At the same time, supporting industrial products will be developed to serve these key industries.
Regarding the mechanical industry, Thanh Hoa will focus on manufacturing auxiliary products such as components and component assemblies to serve the economic sectors of the province and the North Central region. In particular, the province will use imported materials in the first phase to serve large projects such as Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Company Limited, Nghi Son Thermal Power Project and Tinh Gia Solar Power Project, along with other large enterprises in the region.
In the long term, Thanh Hoa plans to use steel produced at the Nghi Son Iron and Steel Complex to manufacture components and spare parts for industrial facilities in the province and serve large energy, thermal power, and solar power projects. This will not only help grow the mechanical industry but also promote the sustainable development of supporting industries.
