Deputy Minister Y Thong cordially inquired about the health and life of the Venerable Monks, Superior Monks, Venerable Monks and Khmer people; and sent New Year wishes for peace, prosperity, joy, solidarity, safety, and thrift.

Quickly informing about the socio-economic situation and outstanding achievements of the country in the past year, the Deputy Minister highly appreciated the role of dignitaries, officials and prestigious people among the Khmer people in mobilizing Buddhists and people to well comply with the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State; actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, contributing to socio-economic development, preserving cultural identity and consolidating the great national unity bloc.
The Deputy Minister also acknowledged the contributions of the Khmer people in socio-economic development and cultural preservation; and at the same time proposed to continue to promote their role and mobilize people to join hands in building an increasingly developed locality.
On behalf of monks, nuns and Khmer Buddhists, Venerable Duong Quan - Vice Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial Patriotic Monk Solidarity Association, abbot of Komphir Sakor Prek Chrou Pagoda (Xiem Can Pagoda, Hiep Thanh ward) expressed his appreciation for the concern of the Party and State; affirmed that he will continue to accompany the nation, contributing to building phum soc and Ca Mau homeland to develop and become civilized.

Venerable Duong Quan said that thanks to the attention of all levels of government, the life of Khmer people in recent times has had many positive changes, stable production, and cultural and religious values have been preserved. The attention during Tet is a great source of spiritual encouragement, contributing to consolidating the great national unity bloc.
On this occasion, the working delegation and provincial leaders presented gifts to monks, nuns, and Khmer Buddhists; presented gifts to 4 typical individuals, 6 prestigious people and 17 Khmer households in difficult circumstances in Hiep Thanh ward.
In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation continued to visit and present gifts at the Provincial Patriotic Monk Solidarity Association; Monivongsa Pagoda (An Xuyen ward); Provincial Ethnic Boarding School; typical educators and artisans who are Khmer people.
Ca Mau has 26,832 ethnic minority households with 116.319 people, accounting for 5.04% of the population. In recent years, Khmer people have continuously strived to develop the economy, apply science and technology, stabilize their lives, and at the same time preserve and promote national cultural identity.
Chol Chnam May Tet 2026 takes place from the 14th to the 16th. 4. Khmer people expect a new year of development, villages and hamlets to become more and more innovative and prosperous.
