Wrap the meat thoroughly
Use plastic bags or food containers made from safe plastic, can withstand low temperatures and are not soaked in the toxic substances in the plastic. After washing the meat and draining, place the meat in each plastic bag or plastic box and cover tightly.
If you store it for a long time and have to leave it in the ice compartment of the refrigerator, you should wrap it with many layers of nylon so that the meat inside does not freeze, causing water loss, changing color, flavor and nutrients.
Adjust refrigerator temperature appropriately
One thing to note about how to store meat in the refrigerator is to adjust the temperature of the refrigerator to suit each type of food. Do not let the temperature get too cold, which will cause food to freeze, or if the temperature is not cold enough, bacteria will grow and break down the food.
The most suitable temperature for a refrigerator compartment is about 2 degrees Celsius, while on the refrigerator compartment, you should adjust the temperature to minus 25 degrees Celsius.
If you put too much meat in the ice pack at the same time, keep the temperature lower, making the cooling continuous and quick.
Remember the storage time
Each different type of food will have different storage times. If left for longer, they will be damaged or lose all their inherent nutrients.
Most fresh foods, if not contaminated and washed before being put in the refrigerator, will be stored in the refrigerator for an average of 4-6 days. But it can be kept in the ice department for up to several months at the right temperature and conditioned to a continuous cooling.
For processed meats, they can be kept for about a month if left in the freezer.
When storing fresh meats, you need to pay attention to arranging them so that there must be an even distance between the meat bags so that the cold air can cool the meat evenly. Do not store too much, which will overload the refrigerator, affecting the refrigeration and storage of food.
