On October 21, Ten Asia reported that actors Jun Ji Hyun and Ji Chang Wook are in the process of actively discussing to take on the lead roles of the new drama "Human x Gumiho" (working title).
The project is co-produced by the two companies High Zium Studio and Contents Planner. The screenwriter of Human X Gumiho is Im Meari, who is known for TV series such as Beauty Inside and Doom at Your Service.
JTBC is likely to be a TV station broadcasting the work, while Coupang Play and Amazon Prime platforms are also being considered to take on the broadcast of the drama in Korea and internationally.
Responding to the report, Jun Ji Hyun's management company, Peachy, stated: "Human x Gumiho" is a project that Jun Ji Hyun is actively considering.
Ji Chang Wook's management company Spring Company also said, " Ji Chang Wook has received an invitation to participate and is considering it."
If both actors accept the invitation, Jun Ji Hyun and Ji Chang Wook will have a second collaboration after the movie "Colony" by famous director Yeon Sang Ho.
Colony began filming in March and is in production. The film is expected to be released at the 2026 Cannes International Film Festival.

Jun Ji Hyun was born in 1981, is a leading actress in Korea. She is famous for many hit works such as "The Broken Village", "The Super Thief Army", "The mission of the persecution", "Why did you come", "The Legend of the Blue Sea"...
Recently, Jun Ji Hyun returned and attracted attention with the main role in the movie The Proctor co-starring with Kang Dong Won. However, the 43-year-old beauty was boycotted by Chinese audiences because her line was said to be bad for China and some controversial details and settings of the film.
Actor Ji Chang Wook was born in 1987. He debuted in 2008 and gradually made his name through TV series such as "Laughing up Dong Hae", "Queen Ki", "Savior", "Horror crime", "Welcome to Samdalri"...
After two works were not as well received as expected when released last year, Ji Chang Wook is preparing to return with the Disney+ film The Manipulated, scheduled to be released on November 5.
