On May 24, Netflix Korea's official YouTube channel released a video featuring the two main actors of the Squid Game series, Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, and director Hwang Dong Hyuk.
In the video, the director and the two actors answered questions from fans around the world, revealing about the upcoming season 3.
A fan from Mexico believes that Front Man (Lee Byung Hun) must have cheated many times to win the previous game. Lee Byung Hun replied that although he may not have been completely cheating, he won by all means, even when it was unfair.
Another fan from Korea confirmed that the walls of the game arena in parts 1 and 2 suggested games in parts 3. They mentioned potential games like Cloud Ladder, Human Chess, and Yut Nori.
In response, director Hwang explained that while part 1 had resurgent eggs on the wall, the same approach was not repeated in part 2. He confirmed that there were no hidden suggestions on the wall this time.
A fan speculates that the trailer has a scene similar to the traditional Korean game Dong, Dong, Dongdaemun. They pointed to the leaders lining up on the rail and the changing sky surrounding the giant doll Young Hee.
Director Hwang commented that many fans are making interesting speculations and assuring viewers that they will soon find the truth.

A Japanese fan has the possibility that Young Il Front Man could be the son of Oh Il Nam (player 001, the leader of the final round of the season), referring to the characters general lactose intolerance.
A Korean fan also noted that actor David Lee, listed as a VIP 3 in part 1, could be Min Su, a character who entered the game.
Director Hwang responded that David's English name may contribute to this speculation. He confirmed that VIP will return in part 3 and encouraged viewers to follow to see if Min Su appeared among them.
Director Hwang also joked about whether that made Gi Hun (Lee Jung Jae) and Young Il (Lee Byung Hun) brothers and sisters.
Lee Byung Hun shared that there are many theories about Young Il being the son of Oh Il Nam that he asked the director for during filming.
But according to director Hwang, the idea was used to create curiosity for the audience, not to confirm the relationship. He also clarified that lactose intolerance does not necessarily mean that they have a father-son relationship.
Lee Byung Hun smiled and added that, based on some comments, Gi Hun, Young Il and Min Su could all be Oh Il Nam's sons. Even director Hwang said that even Jun Ho could be brothers between their mothers and a family reunion would be very interesting.
According to Lee Byung Hun, among the fan's questions, there were some true and some false. Director Hwang admitted that some fan theories contain part of the truth.
Squid Game 3 will be released on Netflix on June 27.
