4 new 9X associate professors in 2024

The four youngest candidates qualified for the title of associate professor (PGS) in 2024 were born in 1990 and 1991, respectively.

The State Council of Professors has just announced the list of candidates recognized for the titles of professor and associate professor in 2024.

Of the 4 new associate professors, there are 3 female candidates and 1 male candidate, respectively from the fields of Economics and Psychology.

Accordingly, Ms. Tran Ngoc Mai (born in 1991, from Ha Nam) is the youngest new associate professor this year. She is currently a lecturer and Deputy Head of the International Investment Department at the Faculty of International Business, Banking Academy. Previously, the female Associate Professor was a lecturer of the International Payment Department at the Banking Faculty of the Academy.

In 2012, Associate Professor Tran Ngoc Mai graduated with a degree in Business Administration, majoring in International Business, Banking and Markets, from the University of Nebraska (USA). In 2015, she received a master's degree in Economics and Finance, majoring in Banking and Finance from the University of London, Queen Mary (UK).

After finishing her studies, she returned to work at the Banking Academy and became a doctor in 2021.

Regarding the research process, Associate Professor Tran Ngoc Mai has published 31 scientific articles, including 6 articles published in prestigious international journals. She also participated in writing 2 specialized reference books, chaired 2 grassroots research topics that were accepted with good and excellent results.

Along with Associate Professor Tran Ngoc Mai, Ms. Nguyen Hoang Chung and Nguyen Thi Hoa Hong also became the youngest new associate professors in 2024, in the field of Economics.

Associate Professor Nguyen Thi Hoa Hong was born in 1990, from Ha Nam. Currently working at Foreign Trade University.

In 2012, she graduated from the school's Banking and Finance major, specializing in International Finance.

In 2013, she obtained a master's degree in International Finance and Banking from the University of Northampton (UK). Six years later, she became a doctorate in Business, specializing in Business Administration from the Foreign Trade University.

Regarding research, Associate Professor Hong has 59 scientific articles, of which 8 were published in prestigious international journals. She has also published 2 books, including 1 textbook and edited 1 reference book.

New Associate Professor Nguyen Hoang Chung (born in 1990, from Binh Dinh) is also in the field of Economics. He is currently working at Thu Dau Mot University (Binh Duong).

Associate Professor Chung graduated from Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City in 2012, majoring in Finance - Banking. In 2017, he graduated with a master's degree. Three years later, he received a doctorate in the same major.

He has published 43 scientific articles, edited 1 domestic monograph and co-edited 1 chapter of an international reference book.

Ms. Vu Thu Trang (born in 1990, from Hai Phong) has just become a new associate professor, majoring in Psychology. Ms. Trang is currently working at Hanoi National University of Education.

In 2012, she graduated with a degree in Psychology from the National University of Singapore. In 2017, she was awarded a doctorate in the same major from the Academy of Social Sciences.

During her research, Associate Professor Trang has had 53 scientific articles and published 3 books.
