Discretion table of the Ministry of Education and Training: 28 points of the A00 complex are equivalent to 26.5 points of the D01 complex

The Ministry of Education and Training has just announced a table of the total score of some popular combinations of the 2025 high school graduation exam after being standardized.

The 7 popular graduation exam blocks in 2025 include: D07 (Math, Chemistry, English), B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology), D01 (Math, Literature, English), A01 (Math, Physics, English), A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), C00 (Literature, History, Geography), C01 (Math, Literature, English).

Based on data from the Ministry of Education and Training, it is possible to give some typical comparison milestones in the 50s, 75s and 90s - representing the groups of candidates with average scores, good grades and top scores as follows:

Of the 7 groups, the group C00 (Literature, History, Geography) has the highest trungential score. 50% of candidates achieved 20.35 points or more, but only 10% of candidates achieved 26 points or more.

In contrast, the group D07 (Math, Chemistry, English) and B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology) are the two groups with the lowest differential equations.

50% of candidates in the B00 group achieved 16.35 points or more, 50% of candidates in the D07 group achieved 19.50 points or more. Meanwhile, 10% of candidates achieved scores of 22.75 points or more for the D07 combination and 23.5 for the B00 combination.

For the A00 and D01 combinations, the center position is 17.6 and 18.85 points respectively; Top 10% of candidates achieve 24.5 points or more in both combinations.

According to the difference table of 7 high school graduation exam combinations in 2025, including: A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), A01 (Math, Physics, English), B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology), C00 (Literature, History, Geography), D01 (Math, Literature, English), C01 (Math, Physics, Literature), D07 (Math, Chemistry, English), candidates with 28.75 points in the A00 combination are determined to be equivalent to candidates with 28.25 points in the A01 and B00 combinations; equivalent to 27.5 points in the D01 combination.

Candidates with 28 points in the A00 combination are determined to be equivalent to candidates with 27.25 points in the A01 and B00 combination; equivalent to 28.25 points in the C00 combination; equivalent to 26.5 points in the D01 combination.

Any major that is considered for admission using these combinations must ensure that the admission opportunities of the candidate groups are the same.

Over the years, universities have used many methods and combinations to consider admission to the same major, dividing quotas unevenly, or considering in general. The Ministry of Education and Training acknowledged that this was unfair and had no scientific basis, so it required a rate conversion.

If using separate exam scores as the ability and thinking values, schools must base on the classification of the exam organizer, thereby determining the appropriate combination for conversion, not "north".

With the decentralization method, Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Minh Son - Deputy Minister of Education and Training said that from the data sources of candidates participating in many different admission methods ( high school graduation exam, transcript, capacity assessment, thinking assessment), on that basis, determining the score to reach top 1%, top 5%, top 10% in each exam to conduct conversion.

For example: If the top 1% of the Hanoi National University competency assessment exam reaches 130 points, and the top 1% of the high school graduation exam reaches 27 points, then these two scores can be considered equivalent.
