Before being recruited, Ms. Dao Thi Trang (Hung Yen) was a teacher at a private high school, with compulsory social insurance contributions from September 2016. On December 1, 2017, she was recruited as a Grade III High School Teacher, coefficient 2.34, receiving 100% salary.
Ms. Trang asked, do you have enough time to consider promotion from rank III to rank II? And is the total time holding rank III deducted from 12 months as required for probation?
Regarding this issue, the Ministry of Education and Training answers as follows:
According to the provisions of point d, clause 1, Article 32 of Decree No. 115/2020/ND-CP dated September 25, 2020 of the Government regulating the recruitment, use and management of public employees (amended and supplemented in clause 16, Article 1 of Decree No. 85/2020/ND-CP dated December 7, 2023), the time Ms. Dao Thi Trang taught at a private high school is only considered equivalent to the time holding the title of High School Teacher rank III if this time is calculated by the competent recruiting agency as a basis for ranking salaries in the current professional title.
In case the teaching time at a private high school is only counted for exemption or reduction of probationary time when recruited into a public high school, this time is not counted in the time holding the professional title of High School Teacher rank III.
