Priority points by region
According to the 2026 enrollment regulations, priority points by region are implemented according to administrative units specified by competent authorities in Appendix I of this Regulation, including: The priority point level applied to area 1 (KV1) is 0.75 points, area 2 rural areas (KV2-NT) is 0.50 points, area 2 (KV2) is 0.25 points; area 3 (KV3) is not counted as priority points.

The enrollment area of each candidate is determined according to the school location where the candidate has studied for the longest time during high school (or intermediate, vocational high school); if the study time (longest) in the areas is equivalent, it is determined according to the area of the school where the candidate studied last;
Candidates are entitled to regional priority policies according to regulations in the year of high school graduation (or intermediate, vocational high school) and one year afterwards.
Priority points by policy beneficiaries
Priority points according to policy beneficiaries specified in Appendix II of this Regulation include: The priority point level applied to group UT1 (including subjects 1 to 3) is 2.00 points and for group priority 2 (including subjects 4 to 6) is 1.00 points;
The priority points for other policy beneficiaries are specified in current legal documents decided by the Minister of Education and Training;
Candidates belonging to many policy beneficiaries specified in points a and b of this clause are only entitled to one highest priority score level.
Candidates should especially note that the priority points specified in this Article correspond to the total score of 3 subjects (in the admission combination) on a 30-point scale for each subject (without multiplication of coefficients); in case the admission method uses a different scale, the priority point level is converted to be equivalent.
The priority score for candidates with a total score of 22.50 or higher (when converted to a score on a scale of 10 and according to a total score scale of 3 subjects of a maximum of 30) is rounded to a percentage and determined according to the following formula:
Priority points = [(30 - Total score achieved)/7.50] x Priority points specified in Clauses 1, 2 of this Article.
