On July 19, Da Nang City People's Committee directed to urgently complete the conditions on facilities, personnel and support policies to put 6 boarding schools in land border communes into operation on schedule from the 2026 - 2027 school year.
Da Nang City People's Committee requests departments, branches, related units and People's Committees of border communes to urgently complete the investment in construction and procurement of equipment for 6 boarding schools in 06 land border communes in the city, including communes: Avương, Đắc Pring, Hùng Sơn, La Dêê, La Êê and Tây Giang.
The deadline for completing the entire construction, acceptance, handover and putting the project into use and synchronously installing teaching equipment and dormitory equipment (such as beds, cabinets, kitchens, closed toilets...) is set before August 15. The goal is to ensure timely organization of the "Housing Introduction Week" in August and good preparation for the opening day of the new school year 2026 - 2027.
The Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Civil, Industrial and Technical Infrastructure Works of Da Nang is assigned the task of accelerating the construction progress. The Department of Construction is responsible for presiding over and coordinating the inspection and supervision of acceptance, ensuring the quality of works before putting them into operation.
In addition to completing infrastructure, the City People's Committee assigned the Department of Education and Training to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Home Affairs and the People's Committees of border communes to review the current status of the network of schools, classes, and students. On that basis, develop a plan to arrange, merge, and reorganize existing schools and general education institutions to be suitable for the boarding general education school model.
Regarding personnel work, local authorities in border communes coordinate with the Department of Home Affairs to review needs, proactively arrange and mobilize management officials, teachers, and educational support personnel. In case on-site personnel cannot meet requirements, the Department of Education and Training will advise on rotating and mobilizing personnel from other areas to ensure the quality of teaching, management, and safety for students.
In order to stabilize life and support students to study with peace of mind, the Da Nang City People's Committee directed relevant units to urgently review and advise the City People's Council to issue a Resolution stipulating policies to support students, civil servants, and workers at boarding schools in the land border area.
The city government noted that it is necessary to carefully assess the actual conditions to ensure the quality of school nutrition and medical care; and at the same time have practical support measures for students studying far from home, especially young students (1st and 2nd grades) and large-scale schools with over 30 classes.
The Department of Finance is responsible for advising on arranging sufficient and timely funds to implement support policies; summarizing the needs for additional funds in 2026 to report to the Ministry of Finance according to regulations.
Da Nang City People's Committee requests the City Inspectorate, the Department of Education and Training and the border commune authorities to strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of regimes and policies, ensuring that funds are used for the right purposes, reach beneficiaries in a timely manner and prevent losses and waste.
Before the schools officially go into operation, the Department of Education and Training will take the lead in organizing a general inspection team on facilities, equipment, personnel and school safety work, promptly reporting to the City People's Committee to resolve issues beyond their authority.
