In 2025, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will continue to maintain stability in 3 university admission methods. With the talent admission method (XTTN), the admission subjects include 3 areas:
District 1.1: Direct admission of excellent students according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (students who have won national and international prizes);
District 1.2: Admission based on international certificates (SAT, ACT, A-Level, AP, IB...)
District 1.3: Admission based on competency records combined with interviews (students who have won provincial prizes, specialized prizes...).
After the time to open the application for business relationship registration on June 8, 2025, the system recorded a total of 5,167 registered candidates, of which 1.1 had 435 records, 1.2 had 1,671 records and 1.3 had 3,061 records. Accordingly, the areas of 1.1 and 1.2 increased nearly double compared to 2024.
According to the new regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, there will be no early admission for subjects 1.2 and 1.3. However, these candidates will still have XTTN scores (similar to TSA scores or high school graduation exam scores) to conduct admission on the general virtual filter system of the Ministry of Education and Training to be able to be admitted to Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

After completing the steps in the application process, the application scores of more than 4,700 candidates in 1.2 and 1.3 were sent to the registered accounts and emails. Some key indicators of the 2025 GCSP score are as follows: The highest score is 100/100 points with 12 candidates (SAT/A-Level achieved an absolute score, IELTS achieved 8.0-85 points), the lowest score is 55.03 points, the average score is 76.48 points.
Hanoi University of Science and Technology notes that according to new regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, from 2025, it will no longer allocate quotas for each admission method. Instead, the standard scores (admission scores) will be converted between methods and a general admission will be conducted for each training program above the standard score.
Candidates with a high school transcript score to be admitted to Hanoi University of Science and Technology must register their admission wishes (NV) on the Ministry of Education and Training's virtual filtering system at the address (https://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn) from July 16-28, 2025, with an unlimited number of NVs. This also increases the opportunity for exchange-traded students to register for admission to more majors at Hanoi University of Science and Technology with the above exchange-traded points.
