Recently, at the ceremony to announce and award decisions to appoint leaders of member universities and affiliated units, Acting Director of Hue University, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy, presented the action philosophy "A - B - C - D", considering this as a consistent direction for Hue University to break through in the new development stage, towards the goal of becoming a National University by 2030.
According to Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy, Vietnam is entering a new stage of development with the requirement to promote digital transformation, innovation and international integration. In that context, Hue University is facing a historic opportunity to transform itself, becoming a center of knowledge and a driving force for the development of the Central - Central Highlands region.
To realize this goal, Hue University leaders requested the new leadership team to focus on implementing four strategic orientations summarized by the "A - B - C - D" model.
In which, Academic Excellence (A) - affirming academic excellence - is identified as the core foundation. Member schools, institutes and affiliated units need to set training quality as the motto, taking research and innovation results as the highest measure of value.
It is necessary to focus on innovating and standardizing the quality of training according to domestic and international standards; promote the accreditation of training programs and higher education institutions; strictly implement the principles of academic integrity and scientific integrity.
The Board of Directors of Hue University, the boards of directors of member schools and the leadership collectives of units need to promote the role of creating a high-quality academic environment, promoting scientific research, improving the quality of international publications and intellectual property activities, thereby enhancing the academic position of each unit as well as Hue University in prestigious university rankings in the world.
With Business Excellence (B) - optimizing university governance efficiency - Hue University aims to build a modern, streamlined governance model, promoting autonomy associated with accountability. According to Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy, when each unit becomes stronger, the overall strength of Hue University is also enhanced.
The third orientation is Community Reputation (C) - enhancing prestige and serving the community. Leaders of Hue University requested member schools to actively participate in solving socio-economic, science-technology issues of Hue City, the Central - Central Highlands region and the whole country; and at the same time develop training industries associated with the human resource needs of the market.
Meanwhile, Digital Transformation and Innovation (D) is considered the key to creating a breakthrough. Hue University aims to build a comprehensive digital university ecosystem, strongly applying artificial intelligence (AI), big data to management, teaching and research; promote innovation to improve competitiveness in the region and internationally.
According to the Acting Director of Hue University, to successfully implement the above goals, the decisive factor is solidarity, stability and unity in the leadership collective. This is the foundation to help maintain a long-term development strategy, promote internal strength and avoid breakdowns in the team transfer process.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy also proposed that the newly appointed leaders promote the pioneering spirit, maintain solidarity, democracy and discipline; maximize internal resources so that each member university becomes an innovation pole, contributing to making Hue University develop into a National University according to the policies of the Party and the State.
