On January 10, Hue University announced that it had just issued a decision to establish a Task Force to verify the content of the petition related to the Director of the Institute of Biotechnology.
Accordingly, the decision was issued by Hue University on December 31, 2025. The verification period is 15 days, with 7 members from the Inspection & Legal Affairs Committee; Planning - Finance & Facilities Committee; Science and Technology & International Relations Committee.
Mr. Hoang Minh Ngoc - Deputy Head of the Inspection & Legal Affairs Department, Hue University was assigned to be the Head of the Verification Team.
The verification team is tasked with clarifying 6 recommendations to Ms. Truong Thi H.H., Director of the Institute of Biotechnology, including:
Using public assets for lease, joint venture, and association purposes without being approved for projects by competent authorities as prescribed; investing in basic procurement and construction but not preparing plans to submit to competent authorities for policy approval and not properly implementing related procedures; implementing financial autonomy for individuals and affiliated units not in accordance with regulations; arbitrarily investing and purchasing equipment, tools, and raw materials to serve the unit's operations through social networking sites but without invoices, documents, and requiring employees to legalize payment documents; imposing on officials and employees to participate in the "Green Sunday" movement monthly, in case of non-participation, they must pay half a day's salary but not include it in accounting books; not creating conditions to resolve severance benefits for employees.
Previously, Mr. Nguyen T.L. - principal lecturer of the Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University sent a petition to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of Hue University, requesting clarification of many issues related to Ms. Truong Thi H.H., who is said to have signs of violating the provisions of law, the Ministry of Education and Training as well as Hue University.
In addition to the proposed contents related to signs of violations in the operation of grassroots party organizations, Mr. Nguyen T. L. also proposed clarifying issues such as: using and leasing public assets; basic construction without making plans to submit to Hue University for policy approval; procurement without invoices or documents...
Regarding the incident, a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper contacted Ms. Truong Thi H.H. to clarify the information, but this person declined to answer.
