In the 2025-2026 school year, private high schools in Hanoi will apply the admission method to admit students to grade 10.
This is a plan approved by the Hanoi People's Committee. The city's Department of Education and Training is urgently developing detailed instructions on enrollment.
The school's admission council will develop a 10th grade admission plan for the 2025-2026 school year based on the following factors: Admission scores of candidates taking the entrance exam for the 10th grade of non-professional public high school for the 2025-2026 school year; training and learning results of students at the junior high school level. If they are in grade, they will have the results of the senior year of that class and other regulations of the regulations on junior high school and high school admissions issued by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Students register to apply for admission to the school online on the school's admission portal. Students should note this regulation to implement correctly.
Based on the practical situation, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will assign the 10th grade enrollment quota to private high schools for the 2025-2026 school year.
The city currently has more than 100 private high schools. It is expected that the enrollment quota for each school will be announced in April 2025.
The entrance exam for grade 10 public high school in the 2025-2026 school year will take place on June 7 and 8, 2025 with three subjects including Literature, Math and Foreign Language.
In the 2025-2026 school year, each student can register their wish to enroll in a maximum of 3 public high schools, ranked in the order of wishes 1, wishes 2 and wishes 3. In which, wish 1 and wish 2 must belong to the enrollment area according to regulations, wish 3 can belong to any enrollment area.
