Director of Dong Thap Department of Education and Training Le Quang Tri has just signed and issued the High School Enrollment Plan (10th grade) for the 2026 - 2027 school year in the province. This year's enrollment work has many new points, aiming to ensure fairness, transparency and reduce exam pressure for students.
In addition to maintaining the principles of safe, objective, regulated and administratively unlimited enrollment, the provincial education sector especially focuses on applying technology throughout the process. The province will use unified enrollment software; students register for enrollment mainly online. In case they do not meet the conditions, they can register directly or via post office.
For admission to 10th grade specialized classes, candidates must graduate from junior high school, have good academic performance and good conduct. The exam takes place in two days, May 27 and 28, 2026 with 4 exam subjects including Math, Literature, English (non-specialized) and one specialized subject. The admission score is the total score of the exam subjects, in which the specialized subject plays an important role. If not admitted to a specialized school, candidates are still considered for admission to 10th grade high school according to their registered aspirations.

In the public high school system, students can register for a maximum of 3 aspirations. The exam is held on May 27, 2026 with 3 compulsory subjects: Mathematics, Literature and English. The admission score is the total score of 3 subjects plus priority and encouragement points (if any), considered from high to low to recruit enough targets for each school. The enrollment results are expected to be announced before July 31, 2026. Notably, the province does not collect enrollment fees, contributing to reducing the burden of expenses for parents.
Promoting digital transformation in admissions is expected not only to improve management efficiency but also to simplify procedures, increase transparency and create maximum convenience for learners in the 2026 - 2027 school year admission season.
