Sending individual students to work in public service is not a punishment

Students violated the regulation on going to cemeteries for public service work, an educational method worth mentioning in Quang Tri.

On December 3, Quang Ninh Commune Police (Quang Tri Province) said that they had coordinated with parents and schools to organize a group of students who violated school regulations and classes to participate in public service at the commune's martyrs' cemetery.

Their job is to clean up, collect garbage, cut grass, and renovate the martyrs' cemetery grounds.

Quang Ninh Commune Police informed that this is an initial form of handling to discipline and educate students who violate regulations and prevent re-offending, while helping them understand the value of labor and foster gratitude for the heroic martyrs.

Sending children to public service is not a punishment or forced labor, but an education for them through useful jobs for society.

At the age of children, they are easily affected by external factors, violent films, negative information on social networks that poison young people, leading to uncontrolled actions, even violating the law.

Recently, school violence has shocked public opinion, with some cases of violence becoming murders.

Everyone is worried, from schools, parents to the community, but there is no effective solution.

The education sector has issued regulations that students who violate the regulation only write reviews, which has received backlash from the teaching staff, because it is too unrealistic.

But so far, no one has proposed a more optimistic solution, other than the provisions of criminal law. However, those regulations also only apply to those who have serious violations, have sufficient basis and are of legal age.

So, sending students who violate regulations, or in other words, individual students to work for public services is a positive and humane solution.

When parents, schools and local police agree to take them to martyrs' cemeteries or parks or public places to clean up trash and the environment, they will change their thinking and move towards good things.

Localities can completely replicate this model, on a voluntary basis, in close coordination between schools, families and authorities.

When students are given useful jobs, they not only stay away from wrongdoings but also learn to respect the community and be aware of their responsibility to society.

Broken-up to clean up trash in martyrs' cemeteries or parks has a stronger effect than reviews written unconsciously.

This is a way of educating emotions, thereby changing perception.

kindness, the good things in each person, let's inspire that kindness to awaken.
