Parents in Hanoi begin to register to enjoy the boarding meal regime for primary school students
From the 2025-2026 school year, Hanoi City will implement a policy to support boarding meals for primary school students according to Resolution 18/2025. Each student is supported from 20,000 - 30,000 VND/day depending on the area, applied according to the actual number of days of meals (maximum 9 months/school year). Many parents in Hanoi have registered to receive the first period of the regime (from September 5 to December 31, 2025), contributing to reducing the financial burden.
Although the policy has received support, many parents still express their concerns about the process of choosing a meal supplier. Parents requested that authorities be public, transparent and participate in supervision to ensure food quality and safety in school meals.
Education experts highly appreciate the boarding support policy, considering this a practical step to create a fair educational environment, reducing economic pressure for parents, especially for low-income families. Candidates submit additional applications for grade 10 in Ho Chi Minh City from today
From July 30 to 5:00 p.m. on August 4, public high schools in Ho Chi Minh City still lack the quota to receive additional admission documents for grade 10. Candidates submit documents including reporting scores issued by secondary schools and can only submit them directly at one school. The admission results will be announced on August 8.
The subjects submitting the application are candidates who are not admitted to any of the 10th grade entrance exams for the 2025-2026 school year but have a total score (including priority points - if any) equal to or higher than the 1st wish standard score of the school they want to register for. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has announced a list of 37 public high schools with additional admission in region 1 this year.
This is the third year that Ho Chi Minh City has organized additional admissions for grade 10. Last year, the additional enrollment rate reached about 63.5%, with more than 800 missing targets after the end of the application round.
