The benchmark score for grade 10 in Hanoi in 2025 is expected to decrease
On the morning of February 23, 2025, "Confident Day for Grade 10" took place in Hanoi with the participation of more than 4,000 students and parents. Mr. Nghiem Van Binh - Deputy Head of the Department in charge of the Department of Education Quality Management and Inspection, Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that at the end of February, the enrollment plan and the third exam subject for grade 10 will be announced. Students should proactively review and choose suitable wishes, not wait for the announcement of the third exam subject, but should proactively develop a review plan and grasp the knowledge and basic requirements taught in the official curriculum.

This year, the exam scores are converted to scale 10, not multiplying the coefficient, leading to the standard score being lower. In addition to choosing a school based on the standard score, students also need to consider a subject combination in accordance with their career orientation, because the 2018 General Education Program stipulates 8 compulsory subjects, 4 elective subjects and 3 learning topics.
Regarding the issue of extra teaching - learning, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh - Director of the Department of Secondary Education emphasized that Circular 29, effective from February 14, has limited extra teaching, but students need to focus on "additional learning" by self-study, self-reading and asking teachers when needed. He encourages students to complete exercises in textbooks before seeking additional support. See more...
