Do not arbitrarily handle unusual situations in the high school graduation exam
On June 10, the Ministry of Education and Training worked with the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on preparations for the 2025 high school graduation exam. Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong led the working delegation, listening to reports from the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City on the plan to organize the exam with nearly 100,000 candidates, an increase of nearly 9,000 compared to last year. Of which, more than 97,900 candidates took the 2018 General Education Program and more than 1,600 took the 2006 program. The city has arranged 171 testing points, mobilizing nearly 13,000 supervisors, thousands of police officers and forces, ensuring strict facilities and security.
The 2025 exam is of a special nature when organized in parallel with two educational programs. Therefore, the Ministry of Education and Training requires the establishment of two separate councils for printing exam questions, and at the same time pay attention to changes in the organization of the inspection apparatus, the grassroots police may affect the work of directing the exam. Localities must prepare carefully so that the exam can take place safely, seriously, effectively, without errors in any stage.

The 2025 10th grade exam is in line with the new program
The 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year has taken place safely and seriously in Hanoi and other provinces and cities. In Hanoi, nearly 103,000 candidates took the three subjects of Math, Literature, and Foreign Language on June 7-8; candidates registered to join specialized schools to continue taking additional specialized subjects on June 9. The organization work with more than 15,000 officers and teachers, the police supported ensuring exam discipline, the participation rate reached over 99.5% and only recorded one case of violation of regulations.
This year's exam is considered moderate, classified and avoids rote learning and solving. In particular, the Literature exam attracted attention when using materials other than textbooks for the first time, helping to evaluate students' thinking and abilities in a practical way. The theme "happiness" in the exam in Hanoi is highly appreciated by students and teachers for its closeness, rich emotions and ability to convey positive messages.
Teachers commented that this year's exam has been positively innovated, in line with the 2018 general education program. Candidates can look up the exam scores for grade 10 in Hanoi on the electronic information portal of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training and the city's primary admission portal (https://tsdaucap.hanoi.gov.vn/tra-cuu-tuyen-sinh-10).
On July 17, the Department of Education and Training and specialized high schools and public high schools will meet to approve additional admission scores to public grade 10 (if any).
