On the morning of September 5, Hanoi Medical University solemnly held the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year and the ceremony to award certificates of quality assessment for 9 training programs and certificates of UPM comparison ranking for 2 training programs.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Tu - Principal of Hanoi Medical University shared: In June 2025, Hanoi Medical University was evaluated by the Center for Educational Quality Assessment (Hanoi National University) for 9 training programs including 5 full-time undergraduate programs in Nutrition, Public Health, Medical Testing, Ophthalmology, Dentistry and 04 CTDT for master's degrees in Nutrition, Preventive Medicine, Dentistry, Medical Testing.

After a period of external assessment, the Education Quality Assessment Council assessed the external assessment report and decided to recognize the educational quality assessment of 9 training programs of Hanoi Medical University. The educational quality assessment certificate was signed on September 3, 2025 and is valid for 5 years to September 3, 2030.
On August 29, 2025, the UPM Innovation Institute under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations announced the results of the comparison ranking according to the UPM Standards for the training program with 7 standards and 44 criteria.
This is a comparative rating system for the quality of education that currently has nearly 150 educational institutions and training programs from 12 countries: Vietnam, Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Korea, Taiwan (China) and the United States participating.
Accordingly, the two training programs for doctors of medicine and master of nutrition of Hanoi Medical University are rated at 5 stars according to the research orientation. Previously, in 2023, Hanoi Medical University was also assessed by UPM as a 5-star CSGD according to the research orientation.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Tu - Principal of the school congratulated 09 training programs of 4 units that have received quality assessment certificates and 02 training programs that have received UPM 5-star comparison certificates.
According to Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Tu, to achieve the results of today, Hanoi Medical University is determined to take quality as a true measure of training high-quality medical human resources. On April 3, 2025, the Prime Minister issued Decision 714/QD-TTg approving the Project "Developing Hanoi Medical University into a national key higher education institution in the leading group in Asia". This is the basis for the University to continue to build, develop and achieve more success, maintaining its position as a leading university in medical training.
