On July 6, 2026, the Banking Academy organized a Conference to announce the Decision of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) on the appointment of Mr. Le Ngoc Thang - Head of the Organization and Personnel Department of the Banking Academy to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Banking Academy from July 1, 2026. The term of office is 5 years from the date of appointment.
Awarding the Decision and delivering a speech assigning tasks, Deputy Governor of the State Bank Nguyen Ngoc Canh acknowledged and highly appreciated the capacity, experience and working process of the new Deputy Director of the Academy of Banking.
The Deputy Governor believes that in his new position, Deputy Director of the Banking Academy Le Ngoc Thang will continue to strive, cultivate and train moral qualities and lifestyles, improve political bravery, be absolutely loyal to the revolutionary cause of the Party; constantly study to improve professional qualifications and skills; and together with the Board of Directors of the Banking Academy, promote the spirit of solidarity, inherit the achievements achieved in recent years, and successfully complete the assigned tasks.
At the same time, the Deputy Governor also requested the Banking Academy to continue to review and consolidate the organizational structure in the direction of streamlining, improving the quality and efficiency of operations, meeting development requirements in the new period. The Academy needs to promote digital transformation in management, training, scientific research and enrollment; along with that, actively coordinate with relevant units to soon complete the project to build a training facility in Nam Cao University area, Ninh Binh province, thereby expanding strategic development space, contributing to improving the quality of training and the position of the Academy.
Speaking at the Conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huu Toan - Director of the Banking Academy proposed that the new Deputy Director continue to promote his capacity and work experience, and together with the Board of Directors maintain the spirit of solidarity and unity, effectively implement political tasks and the Development Strategy of the Banking Academy for the period 2022-2030, with a vision to 2045.
Speaking to receive the assignment, Mr. Le Ngoc Thang expressed his honor and respectfully thanked the Board of Directors of the State Bank for trusting him with a new responsibility; affirmed that he will constantly train and improve professional capacity, promote solidarity and responsibility, and together with the leadership, officials and employees to successfully complete the assigned tasks, contributing to building the Banking Academy into a prestigious and modern higher education institution, gradually meeting international standards.
